A Message from James Fry
As we near the end of 2014 I would like to personally thank you for your continued patronage.
In an effort to continue to bring you the very best in fitness, this year saw changes to the gym space including the installation of a custom designed fitness rig and a new free weights area as well as upgrading the cardio equipment. We also had ‘pop-up’ classes and workshops with specialists “Mr Yoga” David Swenson, SBC’s Russell Bates and “Model Whisperer” Justin Gelband. After member requests we introduced both I-Lipo and LPG treatments in the Spa and specialists Dr. Kersh and Malvina Fraser were joined by Paolo Lai and Marie Reynolds to ensure members had access to the very best practitioners in non-surgical cosmetic procedures for age management. Our restaurant continued to provide some of the most delicious and nutritious dishes and beverages with our new 7 Day Detox and 21 Post Detox Nutrition programmes proving very successful.
2014 also saw us continue to support some of the most high profile British athletes as they challenge their respective competitors on a global scale; these include Boxer David Haye, England & Wasps Rugby player James Haskell as well as Sir Ben Ainslie and his America’s Cup crew in their respective journeys.
We also launched our long awaited Pregnancy Programme in partnership with Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Professor Mark Johnson’s Borne charity, providing a link between our charitable work and our expertise in fitness, nutrition and wellbeing. This was the culmination of efforts on the part of many staff at KX and we are pleased to be able to support our members through key life moments as well as their overall health and wellness.
Our various charity work continued throughout the year. We supported and attended the Lyla Nsouli Foundations annual Wishes & Witches event and we had a lot of fun supporting children in the local area through the Solidarity Sport charity as well as the annual Walkabout Foundation fundraiser in Hyde Park. On a personal level, my trek up Mt Kilimanjaro with Will Greenwood and the rest of ‘Team Greens’ in support of the charity Borne was a rewarding challenge and one I was honoured to be able to participate in on behalf of KX. We also supported events held by the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital, the National Theatre, the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation, the Great Ormond Street Hospital and various local schools.
2015 already promises to be another exciting year as we continue to provide you with a variety of new services and facilities throughout the club, ensuring you continue to enjoy the time you spend with us.
I wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy and happy holiday season and I look forward to seeing you in the club in the New Year.
